Tukairangi Gallery is the home and studio of master potter Ross Palmer, and his wife Annie.
In his fifty years as a dedicated potter, Ross has established a special niche in domestic ware, combining masterly throwing skills with a clean, distinctive style, where beauty, simplicity and function fuse in tribute and celebration of the simple pleasures of daily life.
Annie Palmer-Bunbury brings her sure eye for form and colour to their range.

ROSS PALMER
Master Potter
Those who have followed the New Zealand pottery scene from its insurgence in the 1970s will be familiar with Ross Palmer’s name and work. Over his fifty years as a dedicated potter, Ross has established a special niche in domestic ware, combining masterly throwing skills with a clean, distinctive style, where beauty, simplicity and function fuse in tribute and celebration of the simple pleasures of daily life. The last eight years has seen a resurgence in his career, dating from a meeting with a visiting Australian, Annie, who soon became his wife and creative colleague and together they have established their shared artists’ dream.
ANNIE PALMER-BUNBURY
Potter & Artist
Annie is fascinated with the many languages of artistic expression, and over the years has incorporated writing, music, fibre arts, life studies and portraiture, painting, and clay sculpture into her search for personal statement. Initially studying architecture, her post-graduate interest was in the fostering of creativity. It took years of self searching, and then finally a meeting with master potter Ross Palmer to help her find voice. Ross has drawn her into the wonderful world of molten glazes. Fast forward eight short years and their collaborative gallery, just out of Taupo, is well established.
